The latest version of the motorcycle comes with a new design, new engine and multiple new features.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Front Quarter

The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 is based on the same platform that the company has used in the Pulsar N250, F250 and the N160. The motorcycle has now become sportier, sharper and lighter. It has a new aerodynamic 3D front that embodies sculptural purity and sports a dynamic interplay of metalised, dual colours. The single-disc variant allows a more upright stance, while the twin-disc variant has a sportier stance and comes with a split seat.

A dynamic tank profile is contrasted with a thin waistline that extends to a contoured seat profile. Along with a 790mm seat height, the proportions are made for rider comfort. With a new mono-shock rear suspension, and an underbelly exhaust positioned near the bike’s centre of gravity, the design ensures better balance and handling – making it one of the most manoeuvrable bikes in its class.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Right

The new Bajaj Pulsar P150 is powered by a new 149.68cc engine, which gives best-in-class power and instantaneous throttle response. It delivers a peak power of 14.5 Ps @ 8500 RPM and a maximum torque of 13.5 Nm @ 6000 RPM. Most importantly, 90% of the torque is available across the usable RPM range. Add to that a superior gear shift and a damper for better NVH management, and you have the most refined Pulsar 150 to date.

The new Bajaj Pulsar P150 is attractively priced at Rs 1,19,757 (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 1,19,565 (ex-showroom Kolkata) for twin-disc variant and Rs 1,16,755 (ex-showroom New Delhi) and Rs 1,16,563 (ex-showroom Kolkata) for single-disc variant. Pune-based two-wheeler giant has recently introduced new colour options for the Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220F models. Now, even the Bajaj Pulsar 150 has received new paint schemes to refresh things up a bit and lure in more buyers.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 White Right
Both the drum brake and twin-disc brake models get new colours.

As per the company’s official website, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is now available in new pearl white and sapphire blue colour options. On the other hand, the Twin Disc variant of the motorcycle has 3 new paint schemes - volcanic red, pearl white, and sparkle black. Interestingly, the updated model started to arrive at dealerships last month itself and there are walkaround videos that suggest that the Pulsar 150 has 4 new colour options - volcanic red, pearl white, sapphire blue, and sparkle black. Perhaps, Bajaj Auto is yet to fully update its website.

The new colour options of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 are quite attractive and should be able to rope in more customers. They feature a blacked-out engine, exhaust, and alloy wheels that enhance the sportiness of the motorcycle. The addition of faux carbon fibre stickers on parts like the front fender and side panels is also a nice touch. Other than that, there are updated graphics on the fuel tank, belly pan, headlight cowl, and rear cowl, that improve the motorcycle’s overall visual appeal.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Blue Right
The new colours are quite attractive and should lure more buyers.

The changes are limited to the colourways only. Mechanically, the Pulsar 150 remains the same. It is powered by a 149.50cc single-cylinder engine that features 2 valves and twin spark plugs. It is capable of producing 14PS of max power at 8500rpm and 13.25Nm of peak torque at 6500rpm.

This Bajaj Pulsar 150 Looks Like a Serious Hero Xpulse 200 Rival - Render https://indianautosblog.com/bajaj-pulsar-150-motocross-hero-xpulse-200-rival-p323159 Mon, 12 Apr 2021 10:30:25 +0000 https://indianautosblog.com/?p=323159 The Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Hero Xpulse 200 are not each other’s direct rivals. While the former is a premium commuter, the latter can help you take the road less travelled thanks to its dual-sport nature. This is the scenario in the real world. In the digital universe, however, there are no limitations to one’s imagination. A clear example is the Pulsar 150 Motocross edition rendering that we have today. It has been created by an automotive artist who goes by the name “Abin Designs”. And the motorcycle in the digital portrait looks like a serious Hero Xpulse 200 competitor.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Motocross Rendering
The Pulsar 150 has been heavily revised for its motocross avatar in this digital rendering.

We can see in the rendering that the Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been given a major makeover. The only two components that help to identify the motorcycle are the fuel tank with the Pulsar logo and the engine. Let’s have a look at some of the changes that have been incorporated into this machine.

The front end has been totally revamped. The handlebar appears to have been raised and the headlight has been replaced by a vertical plate. Below it is a motocross-style beak. The suspension system consists of USD forks at the front and a rear monoshok. We can also see that the alloy wheels are given away for a set of wire-spoke wheels that are fitted with knobbier off-road tyres. Thanks to these changes, the ground clearance has been considerably increased.

Moving towards the back, we see a flat, bench-type seat, revised side panels, a new swingarm, and a chain and sprocket set. The tail section of the motorcycle has been modified to gel with the overall theme. There are no side turn signals and taillight on this machine. We can also see a different exhaust that has been fitted at a higher position, perhaps, to enhance the water wading capabilities of the motorbike.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon Lime Green Static
The Pulsar 150 is one of the most popular premium commuters available in the country right now.

With all the changes that have been made to the motorcycle, it appears that this Bajaj Pulsar 150 Motocross edition wouldn’t be a road-legal vehicle. However, even though it has a less-powered engine, it would still give the Hero Xpulse 200 a run for its money thanks to the kind of equipment it has.

What do you think of this rendering? Share your views with us in the comment section below. Also, do let us know your opinions about the Hero Xpulse 200.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Cafe Racer Avatar Looks Tempting - Rendering https://indianautosblog.com/bajaj-pulsar-150-cafe-racer-rendering-p322992 Mon, 29 Mar 2021 08:00:17 +0000 https://indianautosblog.com/?p=322992 The Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been rocking the same old design for many years now. While the motorcycle does feel dated, it looks pretty decent for a 150cc commuter even today. However, to refresh things up a bit, a digital rendering of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 cafe racer has been created by an artist that goes by the name “eka_custom_designs” on Instagram. And we must say, the motorcycle looks tempting in this avatar.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Cafe Racer Render
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 in its digital cafe racer avatar looks fantastic.

The first look at the Bajaj Pulsar 150 cafe racer rendering instantly reminds us of the Harley-Davidson Street 750. The headlight cowl and USD front forks with gaiters appear to have been borrowed from the Harley. We aren’t complaining because the setup looks fantastic. We can also see in the rendered image that while the fuel tank and shrouds have been left unchanged, the seat has been redesigned to suit the cafe racer character of the motorcycle. Of course, it had to be a single-seater only and, thus, there’s a rear seat cowl as well. The original, long rear fender and taillamp setup have been done away with and a short and sporty tail tidy has taken its place.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 cafe racer in its digital form also features a muscular-looking belly pan and attractive alloy wheels that are using slick tyres and houses larger rotors. To enhance the overall sportiness, the twin rear shock absorbers have been replaced by a gas-charged monoshock. We also find the custom exhaust to be very stylish. Looking closely, we find that the stock side turn indicators haven’t been changed. They don’t really go well with the cafe racer look and should have been tweaked to suit the new design of the motorcycle.

Bajaj Pulsar 150
Bajaj Auto should work on the dated design of the Pulsar 150 and other similar models.

Overall, we find the Bajaj Pulsar 150 cafe racer rendering to be an eye-catching design and give a thumbs up to it. What do you have to say about it? Let us know in the comments below.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Gets 4 New Colours For MY2021 [Video] https://indianautosblog.com/bajaj-pulsar-150-new-colours-p322914 Sat, 20 Mar 2021 02:45:39 +0000 https://indianautosblog.com/?p=322914 The Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been given four new colour options for MY2021. Bajaj Auto might have taken this step to refresh things up a bit and, thus, lure in more buyers. It’s to be noted that the new paint schemes (red, white, blue, and black) have been introduced only with the Twin Disc variant of the 150cc motorcycle. Check them out in the video below.

This video has been uploaded by YouTuber Jet Wheels. The footage contains all the four new colours of the Bajaj Pulsar 150. A close observation of the video clip reveals that the white and black colour options have red and black graphics on the fuel tank, belly pan, rear cowl and headlight cowl. Similarly, the blue and red colour options have white and black graphics on the same parts. Apart from these similarities, all new paint schemes have a matte finish and feature faux carbon-fibre treatment on the side panels and front mudguard.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 150 colours also have a blacked-out engine, alloy wheels, and exhaust which add to the motorcycle’s sportiness and enhance its overall visual appeal. Bajaj Pulsar 150 Looks Dope with Cafe Racer Themed Modifications https://indianautosblog.com/bajaj-pulsar-150-looks-dope-cafe-racer-modifications-p322920 Fri, 19 Mar 2021 14:15:37 +0000 https://indianautosblog.com/?p=322920 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is one of the oldest products of the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer in the market. The Pulsar 150 is on sale even today, and it is one of the most affordable offerings of its class. All of these aspects help it to become a profit-making machine for the Bajaj. It is praised by the enthusiasts as well. However, modified examples of the Pulsar are an easy sight on the roads and on social media platforms. While the Pulsar 150 is a mere commuter motorcycle, owners can be seen modifying it to various configurations. This time around, we came across a neatly-modified example, which now dons a gorgeous cafe racer attire.

We came across this modified Bajaj Pulsar 150 via the YouTube video of MotoMahal. In the video, the host details the changes that have been performed on this Pulsar 150 to make it adopt the cafe racer theme. Talking of changes, the rear sub-frame has been modified to feature a single-seat setup. It also gets a fibreglass seat cowl behind the rider’s seat. Moreover, the fuel tank has been replaced by that of the Royal Enfield Himalayan. Right beneath the rider’s seat, a conical free-flow air filter can be seen. To let the engine exhale freely, an aftermarket double-barrel exhaust is used here.

Modified Bajaj Pulsar Cafe Racer Side View
In cafe racer avatar, this modified Bajaj Pulsar 150 looks mean.

The tuner has also replaced the conventional right-side-up telescopic forks with upside-down units borrowed from KTM. The front alloy wheel also comes from KTM, but the tuner has replaced the handlebars with clip-on units imported from Malaysia. With bar-end type rearview mirrors, the overall stance of this motorcycle looks forward biased. This modified example looks alluring. Besides, the regular headlamp of the Pulsar is binned for a custom neo-retro unit now. The black paint scheme with bronze speed strips looks dope too.

This modification job has been performed by Nitro Street. While it certainly looks appealing with these modifications, it now misses out on the practicality-quotient. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is currently on sale at a price tag of INR 1.00 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and it rivals the likes of Honda Unicorn and TVS Apache RTR 160. It comes with a 150 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 14 PS of peak power and 13.25 Nm of max torque.

2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150 New White Colour Detailed in Walkaround Video https://indianautosblog.com/2021-bajaj-pulsar-150-new-white-colour-p322894 Thu, 18 Mar 2021 05:15:10 +0000 https://indianautosblog.com/?p=322894 The Bajaj Pulsar 150 has received a new white colour option for MY2021. While Bajaj Auto is yet to make an official announcement about the same, the 150cc motorcycle in its new paint scheme has started to arrive at the company’s dealerships. Here’s a detailed walkaround video that shows the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150 with the new Moon White colour.

The video has been uploaded by YouTuber Biker Prakash Choudhary. We can see in the footage that the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150 is flaunting its new Moon White colour option which has enhanced the overall visual appeal of the motorcycle. Bajaj Auto has used a faux carbon-fibre finish on the front fender and side panels for a sportier touch. The glossy black treatment on certain parts such as the front mudguard, headlight cowl, alloy wheels, exhaust, and engine works in favour of the motorcycle.

Also Read: Bajaj Pulsar 150 Instrument Console Updated for MY2021 [Video]

We can also see in the video that the new Moon White colour option of the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150 has an attractive set of red and black graphics which gels well with the livery. There’s also a glossy black fuel tank pad which works as a contrast with the white fuel tank. We also like the embossed or 3D “Pulsar” logo. The graphics on the fuel tank extend to the tank shrouds.

Moving to the rear end of the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150, we find the same set of red and black decals used on the rear cowls. At the back, the signature twin LED strips are present as the taillamp of the motorcycle. Apart from the cosmetic updates, no other changes have been made to the bike. So, the engine and the cycle parts remain untouched.

Bs6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc Red
Currently, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc model is available in two colours - Black/Red and Black/Blue.

From what information is available at the moment, it appears that this new Moon White colour will be available only with the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc variant. Bajaj Auto is yet to update its website in this regard. Since the new motorcycle has already started arriving at the company’s dealerships, we are expecting it to be launched very soon. Pricing remains a mystery as of now. For reference, the current model of the Pulsar 150 Twin Disc model retails at INR 1.03 lakh (ex-showroom).

Apart from that, a few other minor changes have also been implemented in the new model. As of now, it’s unclear whether these new features are limited only to the Twin Disc variant of the motorcycle or would be included in other trims as well. To know more about them, let’s have a look at the video below.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Instrument Console Updated Features

YouTuber The Bengal Rider shows the updated Bajaj Pulsar 150 instrument console in his video. We can see that while the overall design and shape remain the same as before, however, Bajaj Auto has added a few features to the system; there's a revised information layout. For example, the positions of the fuel level indicator, trip meter, and odometer have been changed.

As per the video, the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150 instrument cluster also shows information about the Average Fuel Economy and Instant Fuel Economy. Another interesting data here is the Distance to Empty. The analogue tachometer and blue background lighting have been left untouched. The updated instrument cluster of the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150 appears to be the same unit that the company has included in the 2021 Pulsar 220F.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Other New Features

The footage tells us that the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150 also comes with a repositioned speedometer wire. This wire used to be connected to the front wheel in the previous model. However, in the new model, it has been linked to the rear wheel. Apart from that, the left side engine cover has been slightly redesigned.

Bs6 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc Red
Apart from the updated instrument console and a few other minor changes, the rest of the motorcycle remains untouched.

Except for the aforementioned changes, nothing else has been changed. The motorcycle continues to draw power from a 149.50cc single-cylinder engine which comes with 2 valves, twin spark, and fuel injection. It is capable of churning out 14PS of max power at 8500rpm and 13.25Nm of peak torque at 6500rpm.

Best bikes under INR 1 lakh in India - IAB Picks https://indianautosblog.com/best-bikes-under-1-lakh-in-india-iab-picks-2-p320322 Thu, 16 Apr 2020 04:58:31 +0000 https://indianautosblog.com/?p=320322 The Indian two-wheeler market, which is the largest in the world (in terms of volumes), is ruled by affordable bikes that offer good value for money.

India today has one of the most stringent emission norms, the Bharat Stage-VI. While this change is good for the environment, it has brought major price hikes. Motorcycles are no different and still have become 7-10% more expensive now. Below are the best bikes under 1 lakh in India:

Hero Splendor iSmart 110 (INR 67,100)

The new Hero Splendor iSmart 110's BS6 is best bikes under 1 lakh in Indian

The Hero Splendor name needs no introduction. It is the largest selling motorcycle range in the country. The Hero Splendor iSmart has gained several new features and this has increased its price significantly. However, with a price tag of INR 67,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is still a very compelling product.

Hero now offers the Splendor iSmart with a new fuel-injected engine. The 113.2 cc air-cooled mill produces 9 PS of power and 9.89 Nm of torque. The BS6 engine offers 10% more torque and leads to an 88% reduction in NOx emissions. Other features include an Idle Stop and Start System (i3S), 18-inch alloy wheels, side stand indicator and a front disc brake. Besides that, the BS6 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 boasts 180 mm ground clearance, a 15 mm improvement over the discontinued model.

The new Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is retailed in three colour options: Techno Blue and Black, Sports Red and Black, and Force Silver and Heavy Grey.

Powering the Honda SP 125 is a 124 cc fuel-injected mill which is coupled to a five-speed gearbox. This engine produces 10.88 PS of power and 10.9 Nm of torque. Honda says that thanks to Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, the Honda SP 125 is 16% more fuel-efficient than its predecessor.

The Honda SP 125 is fitted with an ACG starter which helps in silent starts. Besides it gets an LED headlamp, digital instrumentation, low rolling resistance tyres, and a first in segment engine start-stop switch. Besides, Honda offers a six-year warranty with the SP 125 (three years standard and three years optional).

Customers can get the Honda SP 125 in four colour options: Striking Green, Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.

Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon (INR 85,536)

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon is one of the best bikes under 1 lakh in india

Introduced first in 2001, the Bajaj Pulsar brand has been instrumental in changing the way India rides. The Pulsar 150 has over the years gained on the price tag front over the years. However, the company does offer a more affordable, funkier looking variant now, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon, targeting the youth. At INR 85,536, (ex-showroom, Delhi) it is around INR 13,000 cheaper than the standard Pulsar 150 (discs at both ends).

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon looks very similar to the standard Pulsar 150, save for the neon colouring on the badging, single-piece grabrail, tank extension and faux vent on the side panel. It is fitted with a halogen headlamp while the instrumentation is the familiar semi-digital unit with an analogue tachometer and digital speedometer.

At the heart of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon is a 149.5 cc air-cooled, two-valve, twin-spark engine. Coupled to a five-speed gearbox, it can produce 14 PS of power and 13.4 Nm of torque.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon is retailed in three colours: Neon Red, Neon Green, and Neon Lime Green.

TVS Apache RTR 160 (INR 95,000)

Bs Vi Tvs Apache Rtr 160 Side Profile
The TVS Apache RTR 160 retains the dated semi-digital instrumentation console with a blue backlight.

The BS-VI transition has seen several motorcycle manufacturers axe their old products, but that’s not the case with the TVS Apache RTR 160. Positioned as a more affordable offering in the 150-160 cc segment as compared to its 4-valved cousin, the TVS Apache RTR 160 is priced at INR 95,000 for the drum brake variant and INR 98,000 for the disc brake variant (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

Continuing with the same design philosophy, the TVS Apache RTR 160 is powered by a 159.7 cc air-cooled, two-valve mill. Coupled to a five-speed gearbox, the engine can dish out 15.53 PS of power and 13.9 Nm of torque. The bike's features list includes GTT (Glide Through Traffic), adjustable split clip styled handlebar, adaptable brake pedal and gear lever, split grabrail and semi-digital instrumentation.

While the motorcycle seems good on paper, with all desired features and specifications, there's one major gripe. The TVS Apache RTR 160’s powerplant is prone to producing vibrations at high engine speeds.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 is available in six colour options: Pearl White, Matte Blue, Gloss Red, Gloss Black, T Grey, and Matte Red.

The powertrain in the Bajaj Avenger Street 160 is a 160 cc air-cooled, DTS-i mill which is capable of producing 15 PS of power and 13.7 Nm of torque. In terms of features, the Bajaj Avenger Street 160 gets alloy wheels, halogen headlamp with LED daytime running light, digital instrumentation and a 130 mm rear tyre which Bajaj for some weird reason calls ‘super wide’.

BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc revealed completely by YouTuber https://indianautosblog.com/bs-vi-bajaj-pulsar-150-twin-disc-revealed-completely-youtuber-p319608 Thu, 30 Jan 2020 08:06:54 +0000 https://indianautosblog.com/?p=319608 The BS-VI compliant Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc has been revealed completely by YouTuber Dinos Vault. The new motorcycle is visually almost the same as the outgoing BS-IV variant, save for the extra catalytic converter, the oxygen sensor and the fuel injection system replacing the carburettor.

Bs Vi Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc Front Three Quart
The Bajaj Pulsar BS-IV is priced at Rs 89,837 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the new BS-VI version is expected to carry a 10% higher price tag.

The BS-VI Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc features the same decals as the BS-IV version. The instrumentation console is the same mix of digital and analogue display, with the tachometer continuing to be the latter. However, unlike on the old Pulsar 150 Twin Disc, the display comes with an engine warning light on the new Pulsar 150 Twin Disc.

The engine is the same 149.5 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled twin-spark DTS-i engine. Coupled to a 5-speed transmission, it produces 14 PS of power at 8,000 rpm and 13.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm in BS-IV tune. We expect the BS-VI version to have slightly lower outputs. The suspension system will be an unchanged 37 unit conventional telescopic fork at the front and twin gas-charged springs at the rear.

Braking duties are administered by a 260 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm unit at the rear. Like the BS-IV motorcycle, the BS-VI model is expected to have a single-channel ABS unit. Similarly, the headlamp will be a halogen unit. Other features will include split seats and a clip-on style handlebar. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc’s BS-VI fuel-injected powertrain will also be shared with the Pulsar 150 (front disc only) and Pulsar 150 Neon.

In other news, Bajaj Auto recently unveiled its first electric two-wheeler, the Chetak. The electric scooter will initially be sold only in Pune and Bengaluru. The Pune-based manufacturer recently also formally signed its partnership with the British motorcycle maker Triumph. The duo will be launching a new range of middleweight motorcycles (200 cc to 750 cc) which will be priced from under INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.

Bajaj Auto will not present at Auto Expo 2020.
